Bengtol College, Bengtol is situated at the nerve centre of Chirang District of Bodoland Teritorial Council,Assam,India. It is one of the premier colleges of the Bodoland Tertorial Council of Assam. It was established on 1st August 1981. However, the formal academic classes were started from the year 1997.



The college was accorded affiliation by the Gauhati University in 1999. It is also granted Permanent affiliation by G.U. in the year 2009. The college has been deficited in 2009 by the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). It has also received recognition under Section 2(f) in the year 2007 and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, New Delhi in the year 2009. The college got provincialised under the Govt. of Assam 
on 14th August 2013 and currently (from the year 2017) the institute is affiliated to Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, Assam.
